Riya Shrivastava

Vice President

Riya has been doing art-related competitions, classes, and volunteer work since she was in elementary school. From hosting art classes for her neighbors to organizing creative craft games at larger parties, her goal is to use art as a medium to brighten her local community and spread the same joy art brings her to others. This has led to the establishment and development of CITA.

As the Vice President, Riya primarily aids in the process of developing creative and engaging projects for the different marginal communities CITA serves (the elderly, children, people with special needs, the homeless, etc.) as well as contributing to the website blogs. Alongside the rest of the team, she helps in hosting volunteer meetings and in-person events by guiding student volunteers and those who are participating in the activity.

Outside of CITA, Riya is also a martial artist (specifically Taekwondo) and loves to host sessions for children weekly. She is also a Bharatnatyam dancer and has been dancing for over 7 years. Riya also loves spending her time volunteering at nursing homes and hospitals, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.
