Swetha Sivalingam

President

As President of our CITA Chapter at Memorial High School, I’m so excited to give back to the community through my extensive love for art. Ever since I was little, I’ve always loved art to the point where it is part of my life. While I’m so grateful that I have the opportunity to take AP Drawing this school year, I strongly hope that I will develop diverse events for others to feel the same way as I do about art. My interest for CITA came from the thought of sharing my joys with my community and giving back to where I found happiness while doing art. Therefore, my plans for this year include to host an interactive, fun art workshop for elementary school students.

Outside of art, I’m very passionate about tennis and piano, both of which I’ve pursued for 7+ years. In addition, I love volunteering for local sports events and helping out admin at MHS, because it gives me the opportunity to create a strong bond with my community. In the coming years, I would like to work towards becoming a Pediatric Oncologist, in which I will provide my support and care to patients. Similarly, I will use my strong communication skills along with my creativity and do the same for CITA.
